“What does motherhood have to say to the Orthodox Church?”
“Women in the Orthodox Church: Promise and Possibility”
Eagle River Institute began in 1995. Sponsored by Saint John Orthodox Cathedral, it is held each summer August 1-5, and offers twelve hours of instruction in a variety of Orthodox topics, including Theology, History, Liturgy, Spirituality, and Scriptural Studies. In 2020, it began a cooperative effort with the International Orthodox Theological Association (IOTA) to develop catechetical resources. All three IOTA board members (Paul Gavrilyuk, Gayle Woloschak, and Carrie Frederick Frost) will appear at the 2021 session.
